Our laminate flooring gets big gaps at joints?
These are high traffic areas that require us to kick the planks back in place constantly. Is there a permanent quick fix for this? Can I simply glue them at the joints and under the moulding? The gaps can be as big as an inch in some place.
Is cork flooring good for a pre teen girl's bedroom?
My dad found cork flooring for a good price, and he wants to know what I will think of it. I saw the color, and it will contrast nicely with my green walls and dark brown comforter cheetah print if you flip it around . I really like how it looks, but is it durable? This will sound strange, but at night if I have to get up, won't my feet get cold? All answers are appreciated and I am more than happy to help anyone else with their questions

Question about uneven spot in floor?
We are buying a home, and there is a small section of laminate flooring that seems to be " uneven" or sloping. I can't explain how exactly, but you notice it when you walk over it. We had the home inspected, and the inspector didn't think it was structurally related. There was one very very thin vertical crack in the basement wall that he wasn't particularly concerned with. Is it possible the house is structually unsafe or the foundation is sinking? Would you see other signs of this, other than one small section of flooring a little uneven???
Can I put a waterbed on a wooden floor?
Today I moved into a studio. The studio is on the top floor of a house that was built in the 40s. The floors are newly renovated, consisting of wooden beams with particleboard on top and laminate flooring.In my previous house I had a waterbed that I would gladly move. My new landlord doesn't really like the thought of this because of the weight a good 400kg . He thinks that the floor will collapse. The waterbed in the corner of two exterior walls. This is a double wall along one side.Has my landlord something to worry about? Is there a danger? I read hear a lot of different things ... And finally, where can I obtain professional advice? Can an architect give me a definitive answer? Exact details about the house are not found.Thanks, Ben
Subfloor & Insulation for concrete basement floor?
I am finishing my basement and I was going to insulate the concrete basement floor slab using foam board, PT sleepers and advantech subfloor flooring, but I do not have the height cleareances i need. Therefore I am going to be using one of two products due to there thicknesses they are each about 1" thick, thats it. I want to know which is a better product to use DriCore subfloor panels vs Barricade subfloor panels. Pros Cons of each, and if you are a contractor and have installed them, which do you believe work better.Thanks,Steve
