Reliable faucets info
My house has the basic golden light fixtures and stainless steel kitchen and bathroom faucets.?
Iam planning to change them and Iam not able to decide what finish to use and should I match my faucets with my light and knobs. I do not want to go with the modern or contemporary look. Plus I have stainless steel towels bars and cabinet knobs too. I would appreciate if someone can help me decide on a finish and is it ok if I have two different kinds of finishes.
Are there any brands of tub faucets that fit on a Delta two-handle stem?
I want to replace my tub shower's faucet with an oil rubbed bronze version. It's a Delta two handled wall version much like this, which sadly only comes in chrome everyfaucet.com Delta Classic 2660 Tub Set in Chrome 2660 DLT1356.html . Delta doesn't seem to sell any two handled versions. Are there any other brands that will work so I can just put the bronze trim over the existing valve?
Can I install american faucets in France ?
I would like to buy american faucets, but i'm not sure they're suitable for french pluming ? Does anybody know if it's possible ?
What causes smelly tap water with both hot and cold faucets?
Ok guys in a nutshell here it is... water started smelling so I did the research and removed the rod from my hot water heater and it was disgusting gunked up with stuff. The smell went away. The smell came back so I dumped a gallon of chlorox in my well...the smell went away. Several months later the smell came back again. And this brings us to today. Ok so heres the key elements of this equation. I ran a cup of hot and a cup of cold water and it could be smelled in both. Like sulfer or rotten egg smell, I know this usually means bacteria. I paid $150 to have a cup tested and they concluded bacteria was present in water. Ok so how can it be the hot water heater if the cold water lines never pass thru it??? Also another weird fact, it has been raining here on and off for like 5 straight days. It is very cold and damp outside. When I walk outside, no matter the time of day, there is a funky smell in the air. Its the same smell that I smell in my water, exactly the same. I am going to replace my hot water heater regardless because I know the rods serve a purpose and I took mine out, but I don't see that fixing my problem completely cuz my cold water smells too. Just wanted to get some opinions from some people before I go spending alot of money on crap I don't need. Thanks in advance
My newly-fixed faucets aren't working properly?
I just used a faucet repair kit to fix a leaky faucet. Here's a picture of the repair kit tinyurl.com 84s5xsj Now, when I turn the faucets all the way open, the amount of water flowing from the spigot goes from 0 to 100 and then back down to, say, 65 when I turn it all the way. In other words, maximum flow is achieved when the faucet handle is at the half way point instead of fully turned. Did I do something wrong during the install?In addition, one of the faucet handles does an annoying squeak when I turn it and seems to have some play. Any suggestions for that?
I have weak flow through my peerless shower head. Flow at other faucets is fine.?
The flow is poor even with the head removed. I think the valves are clogged. Can they be cleaned out without replacing or knocking a hole in the wall.
Hot water in bathroom sink, and in other faucets, but not in one shower - what is the problem?

It's just the knobs coming out of the wall. There's a valve going behind the toilet, but that appears to be separate to the toilet.
Getting shocked in shower by faucet...why?
We have a gas water heater for starters I've read many answers to this question, but all seem to be related to an electric water heater not gas. What could be causing this to happen to me??Every time I touch the handles of the hot or cold faucets it gives me a small shock. I know it's not static electricity because I was in the shower for at least 20min when I first started noticing it. PLEASE HELP

My wife and I need to buy a kitchen sink faucet. They're EXPENSIVE. I need someone to recommend some brands that make fixtures that are 1. Made in the USA that's 1 2. Reasonably priced3. Why is there cold water coming out of my hot water faucet?
In our master bathroom, there is only cold water coming out of both of the sink faucets, but hot water comes out of the shower and tub just fine. I looked underneath the sinks and all of the knobs are turned in the same direction so I am stumped Any ideas?Ok, so I went in to disconnect the lines but tried the faucets one more time. I let them both run which I have done many times before trying to get them to work but this time also turned on the tub's hot water and that made the sink's faucets go hot.... I am confused now I've tried to use them before right after running the shower and I've never gotten hot water out of them. Would they be connected to the tub and not the shower? I find this so strange
My kitchen faucet isn't working!?
We turned the main water off and when it turned back on all the faucets work except the kitchen faucet. It is brand new, pull out faucet. When I turn it on nothing happens. With the water on, I took off the spout no water came out of the hose either when I did this? and dipped it in vinegar to clear out the aerator and put it back on. It still doesn't work I don't understand? Please help.It was working fine before the main water was shut off. We didn't touch the kitchen sink AT ALL. When the water was turned off and then back on, all of a sudden the faucet stopped working, without us touching a thing. I'll check tonight if the cold water valve leaks when I disconnect it from the faucet. Thanks for all your advice
After water turned off - no water coming out of bath faucet?
We had a leak under the house so at night we would turn the water off at the street. We would turn it back on for a few hours during the day when we did we noticed a drastic drop in water pressure in the bathroom. After a few days of having to do this now no water is coming out of the faucet. We have since had the leak under the house fixed and still nothing. . .what could it beIts so strange since other faucets in the upper floor work and the shower in that very bathroom works its just in the sink
